Más de diez años de servicio público no partidista: gobernanza y asesoría en la Mental Health Commission of Canada, en CSA Group (Canadian Standards Association) y en el Mental Health Working Group de la Secretaría del Gobernador General de Canadá, además de concejal electo en la Terranova rural. Fue embajador de campaña de la Canadian Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health. Over ten years of non-partisan public service: governance and advisory roles at the Mental Health Commission of Canada, at CSA Group (Canadian Standards Association), and on the Mental Health Working Group of the Office of the Secretary to the Governor General of Canada, as well as an elected municipal councillor in rural Newfoundland. He was a campaign ambassador for the Canadian Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health.

Informado por su experiencia vivida, vicepresidió el comité técnico que desarrolló la primera norma nacional del mundo sobre salud mental en instituciones postsecundarias, trabajo por el que recibió el Young Professional Award de CSA Group. Recibió la beca TD de Liderazgo Comunitario, fue finalista canadiense de la beca Rhodes y estudió Comunicación y Medios en Memorial University. Informed by lived experience, he was Vice-Chair of the technical committee that led the development of the world's first national standard on mental health at post-secondary institutions, work for which he received CSA Group's Young Professional Award. A recipient of the TD Scholarship for Community Leadership and a Canadian finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Memorial University.

Qué significa aparecer aquíWhat being listed means

Cada persona revisó algo concreto, o aportó algo concreto.Junto a su nombre se dice cuál de las dos cosas fue, y qué fue. «Revisó» lleva fecha; «aportó» describe lo que trajo. Each person reviewed something specific, or brought something specific.Which of the two, and what it was, is written beside their name. "Reviewed" carries a date; "brought" describes what they contributed.
Dio su consentimiento por escrito para figurar.Y puede retirarlo cuando quiera, sin dar explicaciones. Se quita el mismo día. They gave written consent to be listed.And can withdraw it at any time, without giving a reason. It comes down the same day.

Si te han pedido revisarIf you have been asked to review

Se te dará un material acotado y se te pedirá exactamente esto: dinos qué está mal. No hace falta ser amable. Un «esta afirmación no la sostiene la cita que lleva» vale más que cualquier elogio. You will be given a bounded piece of material and asked for exactly this: tell us what is wrong. There is no need to be kind. One "that claim is not supported by the citation attached to it" is worth more than any amount of praise.

Revisar no obliga a figurar. Puedes revisar y pedir que no aparezca tu nombre, y no se te volverá a preguntar. Y figurar no te hace responsable de nada: lo que quede mal es de quien lo escribió. Reviewing does not oblige you to be listed. You can review and ask not to be named, and you will not be asked again. And being listed makes you responsible for nothing: whatever is wrong belongs to whoever wrote it.
